Shanti Education Initiative Nepal (SEI Nepal), an implementing partner for the U.S. based NGO Santi School Project (SSP), is looking for volunteers in Nepal to carry out various administrative activities. Volunteers are needed to support SEI Nepal in three key areas:

1. Promotion/Marketing/PR

• Volunteers will assist SEI Nepal in writing press releases, drafting reports and contacting media organizations to promote SEI Nepal’s activities.
• Volunteers will use social media tools like Facebook and Twitter to drive traffic to SSP’s website and encourage people to make donations.

2. Website Maintenance

• Volunteers will conduct occasional maintenance work on the organization’s website www.santischool.org.
• Volunteers will evaluate the websites traffic and suggest changes that will improve the user experience.

3. Project Identification (Initial field study)

• Volunteers will visit prospective schools to evaluate whether the school needs any support from SEI Nepal/SSP. The volunteers will draft reports based on observations made during the visit.
• Travel and lodging expenses will be paid for the volunteers if the any travel outside the Kathmandu valley is required.
