Shanti Education Initiative Nepal is supporting the ‘Tour de Lumbini’ cycle rally being held from May 4-6, 2012 from Kathmandu to Lumbini. The 300 kilometer (around 190 miles) long rally is being organized by World Cyclist Foundation, an organization founded by a renowned world cyclist and Mt Everest summiter from Nepal, Pushkar Shah.
The rally is scheduled to start from Swayambunath (Buddhist stupa in Kathmandu) on May 4 2012 and will end on May 6, 2012 (the birthday of Lord Gautam Buddha) in Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha. 70 participants are taking part in the rally.
Shanti Education Initiative Nepal’s name and website will be displayed on the event t-shirt and other promotional materials prepared for the event.
We wish all the best to the successful completion of the rally and hope that the rally is able to spread the message of peace in Nepal.
