Our Partners
Many individuals and organizations have contributed to the success of Santi School Project. Without their support, we would not be where we are today. We thank our partners and look forward to their continued support.
Experience Outdoors Nepal (EON): EON is one of Nepal’s leading travel management agencies. Rabindra Maharjan, EON’s Team Leader, has been providing financial contributions to the project by organizing fundraisers, particularly in Austria. Rabindra is also the Chairperson of Shanti Education Initiative Nepal and has been involved with Santi School Project since its very beginning in 2006. He traveled to Ramche, the site of our first project, almost every week to oversee the school’s construction.
Austrian Mountaineering Association, Imst Oberland Branch has partnered with us through Friends of Shanti Project.
Small Earth Australia: Small Earth Australia (SEA) is a not-for-profit, volunteer-driven organisation that provides a platform to create empowered societies by undertaking collaborative development projects with a focus on the education, health and environmental sectors through NGOs, local communities, private sector and government in Nepal and Australia. It has partnered with us in completing the construction of a building of Guru Lower Secondary School, Bukhel, Lalitpur, Nepal. Read more about the agreement here.
Thamel.com: Thamel.com is Nepal’s leading remittance transfer and gift delivery company. Thamel.com has graciously provided Santi School Project free funds transfer service from the United States to Nepal since 2006. Free transfers help keep our administrative costs low.
Nationwide Scholarship Program (NSP): NSP is a premier program created by students of Budhanilkantha school in 1991 to provide scholarship to students around Nepal. Since its inception, the organization has supported well over 600 students in 69 districts around Nepal. In 2006, NSP signed on as the strategic partner for Santi School Project and helped extensively throughout the construction of our first school. Until Santi School Project hired a Project Coordinator in November 2008, NSP was actively involved in all of Santi School Project’s activities in Nepal.
Youth for Nepal: YFN empowers the young adults of Nepal and encourages social entrepreneurship in the fields of education, environment and health. We teamed up for the reconstruction of Bhatte Primary School, which was completed in the spring of 2011. YFN has also sponsored other school renovation projects, in Dang, and organized first aid training sessions and reproductive health education programs.
